What is Stomach Stretching Surgery?

Fat accumulation, looseness and cracks at the middle and lower abdomen due to aging, frequently putting on and losing weight and birth giving may not be recovered with diet and exercise. If the skin hasn’t lost its elasticity but there is excessive fat and looseness in abdominal muscles, redundant skin and fatty tissue could be removed, abdominal muscles repaired and cracks could be treated with a ‘Mini Stomach Stretching Surgery’. What should be paid attention to before the surgery?

You had better share all your expectations and concerns with your doctor. During examination, you should reply to any questions to be asked about your general health condition in details and inform your doctor about your past diseases and medications you used and are using.

How will the surgery proceed?

The surgery is to be performed at our hospital under general anesthesia lasts for 2 hours, you will need to stay at the hospital for an overnight.

What should be known about anesthesia?

You will be examined and informed by an anesthesia doctor before the stomach stretching surgery. Blood diluent medications, vitamins and factors affecting anesthesia such as alcohol and smoking should be discontinued starting from the date foreseen by your doctor.

Period of returning to the social life after the surgery

After the surgery, you may have mild pain to be taken under control with painkillers, you will need to use a corset for 3 weeks. The first medical dressing is done at the 5th day, there may be oedema and bruises to recover rapidly at the early stage. After 2 weeks, one may return to working life easily.
